About us:
Parched is an independent group of South London pubs run by four friends.
With over two decades of success operating iconic pubs throughout South London their current pubs are the Roebuckin Bourough, The Montpelier in Peckham, The Railway in Stretham, the White Horse in Peckham, the Grove House Tavern in Camberwell, the Earl of Derbey in New Cross and the most recently the lock House Tavern across from Peckham Rye.
All South London locals themeselfves, throughout the years they have managed to take ownership of underused pubs – some which were on the brink of being shut down and developed into flats.
Parched has always been on the lookout for preserving pubs and their community charm. The lease to their first pub, the Roebuck, was bought in November 2003.
Their ethos from the start, having worked in pubs and bars for many years, was to be independent owner operator, to sell excellent beer, use local suppliers, restore original desing features, support up-and-comming talent, ad to be community focussed – a place where everyone is welcome. Creating the kind of local they’d like to hang out in, uniquely, this still remain true.
